Search that only shows what you are allowed to see

How Atlas answers from company material while keeping private things private, and why it never acts on its own.

A magnifying glass

A company search that knows everything is useful, and dangerous if it tells everyone everything. Atlas is built around one rule: it answers each person only from what that person is allowed to read.

Access travels with the text

When Atlas reads a piece of company material, it keeps the list of who may see it next to every part of the text. A search then returns only the parts the asking person is on the list for. Private mail stays private to its owner.

Answers with their sources

An answer shows where it came from, so a person can open the source and judge it. If two people ask the same question and may see different material, they can get different answers, and that is intended.

It suggests, it does not act

Atlas never acts by itself. It can suggest, create a task, or hand work to an agent. What happens next follows that agent's mode and approvals, like any other work.

In short
  • Each answer is limited to what the asker may read.
  • Sources are shown with the answer.
  • Atlas suggests and hands work over; it does not act.
