Sign in the way your company already does

Windows or directory sign-in, Google, Microsoft, or local accounts with a second factor.

A new tool should not mean a new password to forget. TeamUP lets a company choose how people sign in, and more than one way can be on at once.

The ways in

  • Windows or Active Directory, for companies that run on-prem.
  • Google or Microsoft work accounts.
  • Local accounts with an email or a user name and a password, for small teams and guests.

Local accounts, done carefully

Passwords are stored only as a salted slow hash (PBKDF2), never as text. Repeated failures lock the account for a while. A second factor, an authenticator app code with recovery codes, is available, and is required for admins by default.

Adding people, and removing them

An admin adds a person with a single-use invite link that expires, or imports a list from a file after a dry run shows what would change. A person who leaves is disabled, not deleted: they keep their history and lose sign-in and their seat.

In short
  • Windows or directory, Google, Microsoft, or local accounts.
  • Hashed passwords, lockout, and a second factor.
  • People are disabled, never deleted.
